Your car’s exhaust system is not just the muffler blowing air out the back of your vehicle. Your exhaust system is a complex automotive parts assembly that performs a series of critical emissions. It starts in the engine compartment with a manifold which is connected to the engine and collects exhaust ports from each cylinder. From there, the emissions travel through the catalytic converter, oxygen sensors, and various pipes before exiting through the muffler.
Why is a well-maintained exhaust system important? If there is a leak in your exhaust system, those dangerous gases can seep into your car’s cabin. Maintain a safe car with regular exhaust systems checks. Not sure where to start? Check in with one of our Auto Value Certified Service Centers.
