Three area students have been awarded scholarships from Auto Value Parts Stores this year. Arnold Motor Supply has had winners each year and this year two scholarships were awarded through the regular college program and a third through the Advancing the Aftermarket scholarship program
As part of Auto Value, associates and children of either Arnold Motor Supply or an Auto Value Certified Service Center are eligible for scholarships up to $1500 to help fund their higher education. Auto Value has already awarded over $330,000 in scholarships. This year Christian Woodle of Omaha and Nick Reetz of Carroll, Iowa each received a $1500 scholarship.
Christian is the son of Ed and Evory Woodle. Ed works at our Specialty Sales warehouse. He will be attending the University of Nebraska, Omaha this fall.
Nick Reetz is the son of Bill Reetz, an employee of Jerry’s Auto Service Center, an Auto Value Certified Service Center in Carroll, Iowa. Nick will be attending Luther College.
The Advancing the Aftermarket scholarships are designed for people who have chosen a career in the aftermarket auto parts industry and open to Auto Value members, their children and students. This year Josh Johnson, son of Eric and Jean Johnson, was awarded one of these scholarships. Dad Eric works at our Merrill Company warehouse in Spencer, Iowa and Josh has worked part-time at the Merrill Company as well and will be studying engineering at Iowa State University.
Congratulations to all of these outstanding students.
