FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE Spencer, IA – A Milan, Illinois technician from MVP Auto Center has been named the Arnold Motor Supply finalist in Auto Value/Bumper to Bumper’s esteemed national Technician of the Year program.

Pat Lindell, who has worked at MVP Auto Center in Milan since they opened 13 years ago, exceeded several requirements in order to be eligible for the award, including attending numerous training courses as well as achieving master-level Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) certification. He was selected as the sole finalist from Arnold Motor Supply Automotive Parts Stores which has locations throughout Iowa, Eastern Nebraska, Southern Minnesota, Illinois and Missouri.

Lindell will join 12 other topnotch technicians from around the country in Detroit next July for a custom ASE test to determine the winner. The technician with the highest test score will walk away with $2,500, a trip to Scottsdale, a sparkling trophy, and a prestigious title. Following the exam, the technicians will enjoy three days of camaraderie, racing, and a banquet to crown the champion.

“We are proud the Pat will represent us at the national event. He is an asset to his shop and to the aftermarket industry,” stated Brad Edwardson, Arnold Motor Supply Vice President of Sales. “This program gives us the opportunity to recognize the commitment automotive techs make to become experts in their field.”

This training program is supported by the Aftermarket Auto Parts Alliance, a program group for Auto Value and Bumper to Bumper, and is also available to technicians in Canada and Mexico of which Arnold Motor Supply is a member.
