Traeger Grills WiFire Migration

Traeger Grills WiFire Migration

April 27, 2020

Traeger’s cloud platform, which houses all WiFire connected grill information, is moving to Amazon Web Services (AWS) June 1, 2020.

If you have a grill that is WiFire enabled and was manufactured before November 2019, you need to make sure you grill has the latest update. So if for some reason you have not yet connected your grill to your personal WiFi take just a moment to do so. Otherwise, after June 1, 2020, your grill will no longer be WiFire enabled.

Steps
  1. Plugin your grill
  2. Make sure you are connected to your personal Wi-Fi
  3. The update will download automatically once you are connected to Wi-Fi
  4. To check the status of your update, using the controller, select Menu > Settings >  About Grill. If the update is complete, it will display “SW Ver 02.00.00”

Is your grill ready?

How can you tell if your grill was manufactured before November 2019? The serial number located on the grill box and on the grill itself inside the hopper lid will tell you when the grill was manufactured.
