Fusible links protect circuits from power spikes or circuit overload. Fuse Link is designed to burn-out severing the connection before damaging the vehicles wiring circuit. In replacing a Fusible Link the original length and gauge must match exactly. Highly technical calculations have been performed to determine at exactly what point the Fuse Link will blow before any damage occurs.
